Waterproofing:
Thank you for selecting "Waterproofing". To help us in guiding you to solve
your specific problem, please answer the questions that follows, by clicking on
your choice
Do you want the waterproofing treatment done on a:
(a) Roof
(b) Lintel/ chajja
(c) Basement
(d) Floor
(e) Side Walls (Vertical surface)
(f ) Terrace Garden
option (a) i.e. Roof
Is the roof:
(a) New, i.e. first time waterproofing
(b) Old roof of an existing structure/ building.
As you have chosen "New" which entails waterproofing for the
first time, please follow spec 1 (Go to our listing on 'Specs' and choose Spec
1 for details). In case you want our applicator to do it, please call us.
option (b) i.e. Lintel/ Chajja
$$$ Is it a new one, i.e. first time waterproofing required?
### Is it an old one, which requires to be repaired first and then W/P can be
done?
If $$$ then please follow Spec 1.
If ### then please follow Spec 2 then Spec 1.
option (c) i.e. Basement
(i) Is it a DPC (Damp Proof Course) on a new building, that you are looking
for?
(ii) Is it rising dampness on an existing floor?
If (i) follow Spec 3
If (ii) follow Spec 4
option (d) i.e. Floor
Please click on the type of floor
(a) Is it tile?
(i) Mosaic
(b) Is it mosaic?
Are you in a position to keep the floor "out of use" for the time that will be
required to repair the floor?
Yes No
If yes, please follow Spec # 3after removing the tiles. After
DPC, you can re-lay the tiles, if they are ok. Otherwise, we suggest that you
go for new tiles of your choice and while fixing them, use our tile fixing
compound Setfix TA
(ii) Epoxy Floor
We do not have a solution in our range.
(iii) Plain cement floor (coloured or otherwise)
follow Spec 5.
(iv) Glazed Tile Floor (Spartek type)
please follow Spec 3, after removing the tiles. You may re-lay these tiles or
new tiles after the treatment, but we recommend use of SETFIX TA for fixing the
tiles.
(v) Factory Flooring
(vi) Ironite Flooring
(vii) Hard Top Industrial Floor
For option (v), (vi), (vii) please go to main Menu and click Item # 3, i.e.
"Damaged Flooring"
option (e) i.e. Side wall
We assume that the side wall which is damaged is brick work. If
the damp patch is occuring on the outside wall, treatment has to be made on the
outside wall only. Similarly, if it is on the inside wall, please treat only
the damaged area of the inside wall.
Follow Spec 6, but make sure that there are no concealed source
of water seepage, like leaking pipelines, joints, voids or TV antenna channels
through which rainwater might be flowing. All such sources should be treated by
a plumber, before implementation of Spec 6.
option (f) i.e. Terrace Garden
Please follow Spec 7 in full details. As this is a tricky area, we recommend the
use of our authorized applicator with free periodic supervision by our
Application Engineers.

oras may be your case. However this job calls for use of speciality chemicals

you use our trained, authorized applicator to treat your structure.

arranging to apply our products with your own resources, we shall neither be
able to guarantee the performance of our chemicals nor the overall job, as
dozes and application techniques will not be under our control.

Damaged Flooring:
Is the floor which has to be repaired
Industrial Floor
Domestic Floor
If 'Industrial' are you planning to do a new floor altogether after dismantling
your existing floor?
Yes/No
If yes, what out of the following points do you like to have in your new floor?
No joints
Seam less, meeting FDA criteria
Smooth
Resistant to chemicals, nild acids
Aesthetically pleasant to look at
Easy to clean
If your answer to all the above questions is 'yes' then we
recommend an epoxy floor. For colour, thikness and other options that you can
avail, please feel free to contact us for free consultancy. Our Engineer will
inspect your premise with our trained applicator and quote our price to you.
Otherwise, Will your floor require the following properties:
Strong and hard floor
Repairable easily
Strong resistance to abrasion and wear
Can be laid easily
Can be cleaned and maintained easily.
Long life
If your answers to the above criteria are 'yes' then we recommend a cementitious
floor, broodcasted with SETTOP non-metallic, granular floor hardener.
SETTOP has to be sprinkled on fresh concrete (at least M-20 grade) after the
bleed water has emerged on the surface and the top has a sheen. The doze
depends on the level of hardness and abrasion resistance that you are looking
for, varying between 3 to 6 kgs per square meter, as per recommendation made in
the product data sheet. SETTOP works on the top layers and over- trowelling may
push the non-metallic granules deep into the concrete and then the desired
effect will not be achieved. Curing should be done normally for 28 days either
by pond curing or using a curing compound in the SETCURE range. Poor curing can
lead to failure in floor performace in the long run.
In case your own masons are doing the SETTOP work, we recommend
that you follow our specification no……9…. or in case you want our technical
assistance, then please feel free to call us for our paid supervision service.
